On January 1, 2025, Giant Group’s third-generation leadership team officially assumed office. Young Liu has been appointed as the new Chairman, while Phoebe Liu has been promoted to the position of Chief Executive Officer. This transition marks a significant milestone for the company, as it embarks on a journey of steady succession and agile innovation. Today (January 9), Giant Group hosted a press conference at its headquarters, during which Young Liu and Phoebe Liu unveiled the company’s vision and strategic plans for the future. Together, they aim to lead Giant Group into its next phase of growth and write a new chapter of success.
During his tenure as CEO, Young Liu demonstrated exceptional industry expertise and leadership, guiding Giant Group to achieve numerous key milestones and fortifying the foundation of its comprehensive value chain from R&D and manufacturing to sales. Now, as Chairman, he emphasized, “Customer satisfaction is at the heart of Giant Group’s philosophy and remains our guiding principle.” Moving forward, the company will continue to adopt a consumer-centric approach, focusing on strengthening short supply chains with localized agility to quickly adapt to market trends and changes. By deeply understanding consumer needs, Giant Group aims to deliver innovative products and services tailored to market demands.
Phoebe Liu, who joined Giant Group in 2005, has amassed extensive hands-on experience through various roles, particularly excelling in brand promotion and market expansion. “Since joining Giant Group, I have carried not only a sense of duty but also a commitment to the company’s vision and culture,” she said. Motivated by this mission, Phoebe plans to deepen Giant Group’s cultural roots and through innovative thinking, lead the team to enhance operational efficiency and further expand the company’s global footprint.
The global landscape faces challenges such as geopolitical tensions, tariff barriers, military conflicts, and inflation, while the bicycle industry is also grappling with post-pandemic inventory adjustments, market clearance, and a wave of corporate bankruptcies. In the short term, Young Liu and Phoebe Liu will focus on reducing inventory, optimizing sales channels, and enhancing consumer engagement to navigate these hurdles. Looking ahead, they are confident in several innovation-driven growth engines for the company. These include advancing smart automation manufacturing, expanding capacity at the Hungary and Vietnam factories to strengthen supply chain capabilities. Additionally, Giant Group will continue targeting new customer segments through the Liv brand and the CADEX brand, while innovations such as E-bikes, DCF (Dynamic Cycling Fit) systems, and mass customization solutions will elevate the consumer riding experiences. To address the growing demand for ESG initiatives, Giant Group is introducing sustainable products made from recycled materials and certified pre-loved bike programs. These efforts are poised to become powerful drivers of future growth.
Internally, Phoebe Liu is committed to fostering an inclusive workplace culture by enhancing communication channels, supporting employee development, and creating an open and inclusive work environment. Externally, Giant Group will uphold its responsibilities to customers, suppliers, shareholders, and the environment, continuing to lead the global bicycle industry in creating sustainable social value.
Looking ahead, Giant Group remains guided by its vision, “Raise the Bar,” and committed to driving business growth while cultivating a culture of happiness for employees and popularizing cycling. By championing health and sustainability, Giant Group aims to stay at the forefront of the global bicycle industry and forge a brighter, more innovative future.
