On November 20, Business Weekly announced its “2025 Carbon Competitiveness Top 100” ranking. Giant Group, recognized for its achievements in carbon reduction and sustainable transformation, made its debut on the list and immediately claimed the top spot in the Sports & Leisure category—marking a milestone for the cycling industry.

This year’s survey evaluated 582 listed companies with three consecutive years of complete carbon emissions data and ESG reports—the largest scale in four years, reflecting intensifying competition. For the first time, Business Weekly quantified corporate carbon reduction performance, categorizing companies into three tiers:

Tier 1 (Top 100 for four consecutive years): Avg. carbon reduction 12%, carbon productivity growth 8%.

Tier 2 (This year’s Top 100): Avg. carbon reduction 10.3%, carbon productivity growth 9.2%.

Tier 3 (Non-Top 100): Avg. carbon emissions increased 1.4%.

In the survey, Giant Group achieved a 12% carbon reduction rate, exceeding this year’s Top 100 average, and recorded 1% growth in carbon productivity, demonstrating progress in both efficiency and sustainability.

The survey highlighted Giant Group’s multi-faceted approach, including the “Green Mileage Registration Platform” to promote cycling commutes; manufacturing upgrades to reduce coating and baking processes, and installing solar power facilities. On the product side, Giant Group has implemented Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to track carbon footprints and introduced the Enviro Mark, now applied to 52 low-carbon products—underscoring its commitment across the value chain.

It also noted Giant Group’s leadership in forming the Bicycle Alliance for Sustainability (BAS) in 2022, uniting industry partners to accelerate low-carbon transformation and collaborative emission reduction.

Guided by its ESG vision “Cycling for a Better Future,” Giant Group focuses on three pillars: Innovating a Clean Future, Transforming for Circularity, and Mobilizing for DEI. With strong governance and forward-looking strategies, the company continues to lead the global cycling industry while taking concrete actions to strengthen carbon competitiveness and achieve sustainability goals.
